Once you know when your period started, you could just count the days to know the possible days that you’ll be ovulating. That way, you could either have sex or avoid it, depending on what your goal is.
Basal Body Temperature
When women ovulate, there will be an increase in their body temperature. The basal body temperature refers to the resting temperature of your body. To use this technique, take your basal body temperature upon waking up in the morning while still in bed and before you start moving. Do it every day and record it. An increase in your usual basal body temperature is a sign that you are ovulating.
Ovulation Predictor Kits
If you have an irregular menstrual cycle or you find the previous methods confusing or hassle, you could be straightforward and use an ovulation predictor kit instead. Ovulation predictor kits or home fertility kits are almost similar as pregnancy test kits, but it only detects ovulation and not pregnancy. If you’re trying to conceive, you need to take one test per day for several days to get the most accurate prediction. That way, you’ll know what days you’re fertile and have a higher chance of conceiving.
Fertility monitors are still a new technology but the convenience and accuracy they bring are truly great. They work like fitness trackers but measures the metrics that are related to ovulation such as skin temperature, breathing rate, and many more. It could determine which days of the month you’ll be fertile when you wear it every day.
